We're less than two weeks away from the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk 2007 here in Louisville and I'm asking for sponsors. We participate in this event every year. As a geriatrician B sees the effects of Alzheimer's on both patients and their caregivers on a daily basis. I've heard enough stories to know how important it is to do everything we can to fight this disease and support the caregivers taking care of Alzheimer's patients. So if you can afford it and you think fighting Alzheimer's is a worthy goal please support me in Memory Walk 2007.
In case you're curious I'm trying to raise $500. I'm currently $140 from that goal.
As you may or may not know my dearest darling love B is a physician who specializes in geriatrics. So it's no surprize that the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is a big deal to us every year. This year we've formed our own team and are looking to kick ass in the fundraising department. All of her colleagues are lame and do no work in terms of fundraising so we didn't want to be directly associated with them. So our team falls under the umbrella of her hospital but is still our own separate team. Then when we totally kick ass and raise tall Yanqui dollars for the Alzheimer's Association the rest of them will be shamed. Oops did I say that out loud?
So consider this the first plea for support. Please sponsor our team!
You can donate to the team's general fund, donate directly to B or donate directly to me. The money all goes to the same place so it really doesn't matter how you do it (though we both get t-shirts if we raise $100 each. I'm a sucker for a participant t-shirt).
The Memory Walk is Sunday October 1 so I'll probably be pandering for donations several more times between now and them.
Thank you for your support.
