This was originally posted on January 3, 2003. It's long since been offline but like all the On a path archives it still lives on my hard drive. Ellen and I were talking about this list this morning so I thought I'd resurrect it.

I've added a lot of music to my collection in the past four years so I can definitely think of some additions and changes.
From On a path
The article in the local weekly that I mentioned a little while ago is out now. It's one of the very few places where you'll see a photo of me where I'm not in a group or I'm not with my beloved B. So run, don't walk to read it.
I'm thinking of blogging again at On a path. I like vox like I liked livejournal for a minute, it's like a conversation with a few friends. But even though I'm over blogging the way I once did (total honesty, complete openess with information and opinions, excessive personal unimportant, uninteresting small stuff) I miss being part of the internet/blogging community. I want a place to write some longer more interesting things about society, pop culture, the internet, business blogging, gay issues and a variety of other topics that aren't appropriate or of interest to the vox audience I think. I thought about starting a brand new blog but I don't want to abandon the four years of content I have online and although I cringe now at reading some of the things I wrote at On a path I don't need to be disassociated with it. So why start over? No reason, just pick up where you left off.
Another reason I want to go back to blogging again as opposed to...what would you call this, social networking maybe, is because it's like a conversation with a few friends. Meaning only the friends who are invited are involved. The people in this current invited conversation I met either directly or indirectly through On a path. I mean I met people that I love and adore and are big parts of my life (and flew cross the country to come to our celebration) because I met them through On a path. I feel like I've been closed to meeting new people that way for a while and that's just silly. Why would I not be open to meeting more people who I really like? Lame on me.
Also, I feel like there is stuff that I could share and maybe even should share publicly in the blog arena. I mean several people were kind/brave enough to comment on my post about weight and age and it was a) uplifting/helpful to me and b) it seemed like other people were glad to be talking about it as well. When I started thinking about these issues and what I wanted to do/was going to do about them there were two blog posts that I found extrememly useful and I'm extremely grateful that the writers wrote them and put them openly online. Not to mention the inspiration I took from Cecily's writing from a few years back (including Days of Our Thighs). Maybe one person would feel that way about my post. I'd like that to be a possibility. Those two posts by the way are Fat Headed by Lance Arthur & Fat is a feminist issue by Ariel Meadow Stallings.
Hmm, yes writing this has made decide to definitely bring On a path back to life in an active way. I'll still post private conversation-y things here but in general it will be Exposure for photography, Consuming Indy for Indianapolis and On a path for Michelle Jones.
